What is the World Tube Center?

The World Tube Center is a brand new experience center where you are immersed in the world of steel tubes in a unique way. It is the transparent glass business card of Van Leeuwen, which also offers a view of our impressive warehouse and the 315-meter long Monorail. In this experience center, 100 years of history merges with innovation. In the World Tube Center you can discover our extensive range of products and services and the enormous diversity of applications through a rich variety of interactive displays.

Why did we build an experience center?

In the past 100 years we have built up a wealth of knowledge and experience of tubes and tube applications. We want to share this knowledge in an appealing way and preserve it for the future. Furthermore, in this experience center you will get a good idea of our organization and the services we provide. It showcases in an inspiring way that we are "more than tubes".

Why is the World Tube Center something for you?

The World Tube Center is the place where Van Leeuwen’s past, present, and future come together. This experience center was built to inspire visitors, so everyone is welcome. Customers and suppliers, but also industry related associations and educational groups, for example. It is intended to give the hidden world of steel the platform it deserves. Facts & figures

  • The glass building is 23 meters wide, 7.5 meters deep and 10 meters high.
  • A glass facade has been added to the existing warehouse, creating a special connection between old and new.
  • In the entrance hall there is a large gallery as a meeting and presentation space with a stylish access to the first floor.
  • The fact that steel would be used for construction was of course a requirement. For example, Van Leeuwen's own hollow sections were used.
  • The four umbrella structures symbolize the four generations that carry the 'roof of the company'.
