Phosphoric & Sulphuric Acid Plant & Utilities

Phosphoric & Sulphuric Acid Plant & Utilities

JIFCO Jordan India Fertilizer Company is a joint venture between IFCO – India (52%) and Jordan Phosphates Mines Company Ltd  (JPMC) – Jordan (48%) that is formed to set up a Phosphoric Acid Plant of 1500 tons per day P2O5 capacity and a Sulphuric Acid Plant of 4500 tonnes per day H2SO4 at Eshidiya in Jordan.

This is a green field Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management project where the design, engineering (basic and detailed) and procurement services for the project were handled by SNC Lavalin (Belgium & Canada Offices). VL Gulf supplied over 2.000 tons of pipes, fittings and flanges in carbon, stainless, low- alloy and high-alloy steel.

With a tight schedule of construction at site and the engineering being executed in parallel with procurement, VL dedicated project team had to set a strategy of a combined stock and mill’s delivery and at the same time to manage the various changes in requirements in which we were supplying the materials from our worldwide warehouses and over 25 manufacturers.

JIFCO who was very pleased with the Performance of VL Gulf has requested Projects & Development India Limited (PDIL), the consultant of the Tank Farms to contact VL Gulf for the supply of their PFF requirements.

The procurement is still on going with some additional requirements while commissioning is planned by end of this year.
