Many of our tube products are subject to treatments and processing before they are further applied by our customers. Outsourcing the first processing steps to Van Leeuwen gives you the opportunity to fully concentrate on your core business. Moreover, it saves valuable time and cost in the supply chain.

Our offer includes a wide range of high quality steel tube processing services, as well as surface protections and heat treatments.

Single step tube processing

Our wide range of material processing possibilities include:

  • Tube cutting including angular cutting, laser-, plasma and waterjet cutting
  • Tube forming such as pressure forming, tension compression, tensile forming, bend forming and shear forming
  • Tube treatments like sandblasting, pickling, degreasing, honing, skiving and roller burnishing, peeling, rolling, polishing, hammering, brushing and grinding
  • Tube joining; by welding, soldering, bonding or using Van Leeuwen PreFiS press fittings
  • Machining of pipes, flanges and fittings like turning, milling, flaring and tapering
  • Production of cast iron and sintered parts according to drawing

Multi-step tube processing

We use our comprehensive processing knowledge to model your tube until it fits perfectly, adding various processing steps one after the other. We are proud of our more than 300 tube processing machines and technologies across Europe. Our scope of high-end processing includes:

  • High-performance chip free tube cutting followed by various end machining operations like deburring, chamfering and washing
  • Deformation: in-line, semi-automatic or manual expanding and tapering of diameters, shape contour or change of shapes
  • Stamping and slitting, imprints or manifestations
  • Tube knurling (roughening)
  • Tube machining or milling

Surface protection and heat treatments

We offer treatments to protect the surface of pipes against corrosion or to improve their properties, such as:

  • Inside/outside surface treatments like hot dipped galvanizing, electrolytic zinc plating, hard chrome plating, copper plating, nickel plating
  • Inside or outside tube coatings like polyethylene, polypropylene, fusion bond epoxy, cement lining, epoxy flow lining, jet fuel lining, Sigmaweld MC or temporary rust protection paint
  • Heat treatments like stress relief annealing, quenching & tempering, normalizing, carbonizing, hardening and nitrating.
